Robert Lee Lewis, 79, Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Christian Co. KY.

Robert, the son of the late Robert E. and Gladys Lewis, was born on June 25, 1945, in Christian Co.

Robert, at an early age, joined Allen Grove Baptist Church and later joined First Street Baptist Church. He was employed with Phelps Dodge for 30 years and owned his own lawn care service - Lewis Lawn Service. He was a graduate of Class 1964 of Attucks High School and a Vietnam Veteran.

He loved to work, do lawn service, and be around people. He was the oldest member and founder of 270 Vet SETT Club.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by is sibling, Billi Gipson; daughter, Vonetta Lewis; Godchild, Verna Coleman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Brenda P.Poole-Lewis; children, Venessa Lewis, Robin Lewis, Whitley Haskins, and Lawson Terrell Ramsey; sister, Norma Lewis Walker; godchildren, Adam Burrus, Shantina Matlock, William Burrus, Dorothy Moss, and Adria Moss; 15 grandchildren; 20 god-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; devoted nieces and nephews, Carlos Wilson, Craig Leavell, Corey Wilson, Caresa Thompson, and Candra Poole West.
