Robert Howard
Radford
Sep 23, 1935 — May 18, 2026
Robert Howard Watt Radford was born on September 23, 1935, in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Marion Sanders and Frank "Parker" James Radford. He departed his earthly life on May 18 2026, at 2:06 a.m. in the care of Jennie Stuart Health.
In his youth, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and joined Big Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Pembroke, KY. After many years of service to the church, he became a trustee.
Robert worked for several manufacturing plants in Hopkinsville, KY and was an employee of Flynn Enterprises until he retired due to his cancer diagnosis in 1985. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, raising a vegetable garden, yard work, maintaining his home, caring for his lawn, and working on cars. His greatest joy was spending time with and providing for his family; especially his wife of 69 years, Annie Virginia Radford (White).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Radford Jr.; sisters, Susie Bell Sebree and Francis Massie; brothers, Warfield Radford, Richard Radford, and Fred "Bubba" Radford.
Robert Radford is survived by his wife Annie Radford; children, Carolyn (Donald) Arnell, Sheila Radford Watkins, and Lynn (Lydia) Radford; sibling Gracie Lewis; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Sylvia Bussell, Shannon Daniel, and Sean Coates, and Staff at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab Center for their loving care and support during Robert's stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Men2Be Inc to support the mentorship of core values to enable young men in Hopkinsville to be leaders and providers.
