Roger Lee Croney, Sr., 62, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center of natural causes.

native of Christian County, he was born February 17, 1959, son of the late Lucian and Willie Pernell Kelly Croney, Sr.

Roger was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, there he served as a Deacon, member of the Choir, an Usher, the Drama Ministry, Recreation Ministry an also with the Missionaries and Transportation.

Roger was currently employed as a Tool Setter and Machine Operator with Stanley Black & Decker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Veronica Powell and Lucian Croney, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Greta Smith Croney, son, Rev. Roger (Tashara) Croney, Jr., daughter, Katerra Croney, Siblings, James Croney, Glenn Croney, Lollie Greenwade, Larceaner (Anthony) Standfield, Monica Macklin, Inez (Pleasant) Radford, Fabrian (Kimberly) Croney, Sharon Woodard, Sandra Hunt, Kaye (Mark) Benberry, Diane (Daryl) Lewis, Luciana (Julius) Green, Artisha (DeJesus) Waddlington, Quatisha Croney, Angel Reed,  and one grandchild.
