Ruth Sherry Burse Boyd, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Richmond, VA.

A native of Christian County, she was born June 4, 1943 daughter of the late Joe Burse and Lena Belle Morris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Boyd, Jr., siblings, Thelma Burse, Robert Burse, Louella Bussell, Georgia Burse, Mary Virginia Burse, Theodore Burse, Jr., Joe D. Burse, Ronald T. Burse and Annie L. Bell.

She is survived by her children, LaQuetta Harris, Alex Boyd, III, James Boyd, Sonya Hobbs, Vivian Trice, siblings, Raymond (Kim) Burse, Irene Burse, Alfred (Camiell) Burse, 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
