With heavy yet grateful hearts, we remember the life of Sarah Elaine Cager, who departed this world on August 19, 2026. Born on June 19, 1953, Sarah filled her seventy-three years with compassion, devotion, and an abundance of love that shaped the lives of all who knew her.

Sarah’s gentle care was most evident in her work as a Nurse’s Aide at Pinecrest Nursing Home. Through her commitment, she offered comfort and dignity to those in their final chapters, embodying kindness and empathy in every action. Her professional life was not just about fulfilling duties but uplifting the spirits of others, a testament to her nurturing soul.

Beyond her career, Sarah’s true passion was her family. She found profound joy in the laughter and togetherness that adorned family gatherings. Whether dancing lightheartedly in the living room, painting to express her creativity, or preparing hearty meals that became family traditions, Sarah’s presence was foundational and reassuring. Her embrace stretched with warmth to every corner of her family, and the moments created together are cherished legacies.

Sarah’s faith was a constant light in her life, guiding her steps and giving strength to those around her. As a devoted member of Life Tabernacle Church, she forged deep, lasting connections and contributed to her community with steadfast dedication. Her faith brought her peace and hope, and she touched many with her unwavering belief and generosity.

Her memory is held dear by those she leaves behind: Melissa Cook her loving daughters; Bethany Bryant, honorary daughter:Ritha King, her supportive sister; and grandchildren Arianna (Jamie) Lantrip and Lea Cook, who will forever carry forward her kindness and guidance. Chelsea Meadows, who shared a special bond with Sarah, also mourns her passing, holding close so many treasured moments.

Sarah is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, James H. Cager, as well as her mother, Lela Boyd Bacon, and her father, Douglas Fox, Jr., who predeceased her. Their memories live on through the love Sarah continued to spread throughout her life.

We invite friends and loved ones to join us in honoring Sarah’s remarkable journey. Visitation will be held at Gamble Funeral Home, 1311 S Liberty Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, on August 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following, a graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
