Sonja Renee Tanner was born in Hopkinsville, KY. to the late Douglas Smith and the late Barbara Green Huff.  She was formerly employmed as a Child Development Teacher on a Military Base.

In her spare time she enjoyed Crafting, Music, Traveling, and Spending Time With Family.

She was a member of Abundance Life in Clarksville, TN.

Sonja Renee Tanner passed away on August 16, 2020 in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents: James & Mary Green, Paternal Grandparents: Walton & Christine Smith

She leaves to mourn her passing 9 Grandchildren, 12 Nephews, 15 Nieces, 3 Great Nieces, and 2 Great Nephews, A Host of Family and Friends

A Walk-Thru Visitation will be held on 08/29/2020 from 11:30AM to 12:30PM at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held on 08/29/2020 at 1:00PM with limited capacity due to social distancing at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Burial will be held at West Union Baptist Church Cemetery Gracey, KY.
