Sylvester Gene Peterson was born March 06, 1959 at Fort Campbell, KY to the late Walter Oldham and the late Ethel Jean Peterson Jones.  He was formerly employed with the Mansfield Veterinarian Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant. He enjoyed animals, hunting, fishing, and skating.  He was an artist and was the 1st African American Falconer in KY. "Bird Handler."  He enjoyed calling and talking with people on the telephone. He was also a big Louisville Fan. ("U of L" Cardinals).

He was a member of St John Missionary Baptist Church, but often visited Queen Anne Baptist Church when in the area.

Sylvester Gene Peterson passed away on May 03, 2020 at Hill Creek Nursing Home in Louisville, KY.

He leaves to mourn his passing a host of Family and Friends

A private funeral for the immediate family only, due to social distancing will be held at Gamble Funeral Home on 05/11/2020. A private burial will be held at Green Hill Memorial Gardens Hopkinsville, KY.
