Tanisha L. Forte affectionately known as Tysh entered eternal rest on November 1. 2023, in Washington D.C. at the age of 51. Tysh was born in 1972, to the late Mable L. Forte and Terry L. Washington. Tysh was a Director of Events / Operations and Experience Strategist who travel the United States planning events for such companies as ARC, ASIS International and National Association of Broadcasters just to name a few. She was well respected in the events industry and loved what she did.

Tysh is survived by her loving father, Terry Lee Washington; brother Terrel Jackson (Veronica); Grandmother Dorothy Forte and a host of loving relatives. She was greeted in heaven with open arms by Mable, her mother, Grandfathers Barbee Forte, and Eddie Washington. Grandmother Ruth Washington who loved when Tysh wore red lipstick. Uncle James Washington; Aunt Francine Wynn and other relatives.

Her life in DC included close friends she considered family. She enjoyed spending time with them-holidays, vacations, celebrating milestones and at the top of her list, experiencing new restaurants. She was a source of strength for many, and the loss is insurmountable. A beautiful soul gone too soon as summarized by her "DC family."

Today we ask not to mourn her life, but to celebrate, fondly remember and cherish the moments you spent with her.
