Thelma Jean Bell Gray, 70, Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Madisonville, KY.
Thelma, the daughter of the late J.C. and Rozy Nell Bell, was born on January 16, 1954, in Hopkinsville, KY.
Thelma was a member of First Street Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. Previously, she was a CNA and Patient Aide at Western State Hospital and Pinecrest Nursing Home. Also, she was a Medication Tech at Christian Health Center.
Thelma loved singing, playing Yahtzee, Solitaire, and Paparazzi Jewelry. She loved her family. She loved her brother Wayne, being a caretaker and raising her cousin, Corey Bell. She was a people person and always had a smile on her face. Thelma loved to joke and cut up with everyone. She would tell you how it is, had no filter, but done it all in love.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Trevin Bell; and her daughter Cherie Gray.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bobby Gray; daughters, Dannielle Gray and Julia Victor; brother, Dewayne (Ellowyn) Bell; daughter -in-law, Lashonda Mason Bell; brothers-in-laws, Albert Gray, Sr., Dexter Gray, James Gray, Barry (Jackie) Bell, Ben Bell, and Alvin Largin; sisters-in-laws, Willie Jean Gray Green, Marilyn Gray and Donna Gray; aunts, Rosie Bell and Louvenia Hillard; uncle, Calvin Bell; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, devoted friends, Teresa Jones and Arnethia (Nita Baby) Stepp; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
