Virginia Louise Wooden West, 74, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Virginia, the daughter of the late Charlie Wooden and Nancy Taylor Smith, was born on December 13, 1950, in Indianapolis, IN.

Virginia was a member of Allen Grove Baptist Church and was employed in production with Thomas Industries. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing cards, and talking to people. When she was younger, she enjoyed track and field.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, James Nance, Bobby Wooden, and Claude H. Wooden.

She is survived by her children, Guy (Marshelia) West III, Nathaniel Lee West, Regina Ann Taylor, and Byron West; Siblings, Howard Wooden, Vivian Johnson, and Albert Smith; 4 grandchildren; Devoted niece, Angela McKee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
