Willie Mae Leavell Bell was born April 12, 1923 in Todd County, KY. to the late Wallace Leavell and the late Minnie Lee Thurston. For many years she was a domestic worker. Many of her hobbies included Flowers, Sewing, and Cooking.
She was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board, and was the Church Musician. She also played for several other churches in the area to include: Spillman Chapel in Allensville, for 12 years, and Mt. Gilead for 46 years.
Willie Mae Leavell Bell passed away on April 14, 2020 at Logan Memorial Hospital Russellville, KY.
Survivors:
Children: Wallace Bell, Teretha (Phillip) West, Dallas Bell, Priscilla Mae (Robert Sr) Bell-Butler, Earnestine "Tina " (Douglas) Green, Linda (Walter) Davie, Michelle Smith.
Foster Son: Richard Osborne
Siblings: Betty Davis Bellamy, Sarah Pope, Robbie Bell, Beulah McIntosh, Gertrude Robinson
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Lee Bell, 3 Children: Gene A Bell, Ben W Bell, and Minnie L Bell. 4 Brothers: Henry W Leavell, Maceo Leavell, Major Leavell, and Morris Leavell, 2 Sisters: Cora Shanklin, and Emma Fugate.
She leaves to mourn 29 Grandchildren, 65 Great Grandchildren, 16 Great Great Grandchildren, A host of Family and Friends.
A private graveside service and burial for the immediate family will be held at the Elkton Cemetery in Todd Co. KY due to social distancing.
